The pair captivated listeners around the world with their debut track\, Losing Touch. Since then\, Empathy Test has self-produced and released three stunning albums: Losing Touch (Remastered) and Safe From Harm in 2017 and Monsters in 2020. \n\n\n\nEmpathy Test’s “big dramatic sound swoons ecstatically between the nostalgic and immediate” (KCRW)\, earning them comparisons with classic acts such as Depeche Mode and A Flock of Seagulls\, as well as modern synth-pop acts like CHVRCHES\, Purity Ring and Hurts. \n\n\n\nDespite being offered more than their fair share of record deals\, Empathy Test has chosen to make their own path\, building a legion of dedicated fans while still managing to earn features from the likes of Vice on HBO\, MTV’s Catfish\, Netflix\, Fresh on the Net\, BBC Introducing\, Clash\, LoBF\, Earmilk\, PopMatters and many more. DESCRIPTION:The year is 2023 – you’ve survived those final working days\, the festive events\, various meals\, new years’ antics….. finally the Calling is here to get you back to the tunes that matter! \n\n\n\nNote\, there’s only a music license until 11pm\, so get along in good time to have a dance – however the pub itself is open until 2 so there’s far more time to socialise. \n\n\n\nPlease bring cash along for donations to keep us going!  \n\n\n\nTo everyone attending\, if you can\, please take a LFT before attending. We want to make this as safe as possible for everyone attending. Let’s work to keep everyone safe – and if you choose not to\, please respect those wanting to social distance and wear masks. \n\n\n\nEntrance is free but any donations are massively welcomed (will need to be in cash). They’ll be used to cover costs and split across the DJs\, no plan for any profit\, although that is always nice!
