Captivating audiences with cathartic performances\, LIGHT ASYLUM emerged in 2009 at the forefront of a movement turned full blown revival of late 70’s to 90’s electronic music inspired by pioneers of Detroit techno\, Belgian new beat\, EBM\, gothic rock\, Chicago house\, new wave and synth pop.Autumn of 2011 would herald a new gothic club anthem “Dark Allies” with Funchess emoting eternal life in her signature contralto singing\, “Forever…and ever” on the debut ‘In Tension’ EP (Mexican Summer/Kemado Records). A debut full length S/T LP released the following spring aided in igniting the dark wave genre that coincided with the cold wave revival in NYC’s underground music scene. Funchess carried the torch above ground to iconic venues Radio City Music Hall\, Koko\, The Sydney Opera House\, Moulin Rouge and Berghain. Summer 2025will mark the first release of LIGHT ASYLUM since 2012.

DESCRIPTION:Stephen ‘Mal’ Mallinder and Chris Watson have announced details of their Final UK Tour\, starting on 10 October 2026 at Birmingham Town Hall and finishing at the Sheffield Octagon on 25 October\, with Gazelle Twin confirmed as special guest across all the dates. \n\n\n\nThese dates follow news of this year’s highly anticipated sold-out tour\, which marks 50 years since the live launch of one of Britain’s most influential electronic bands\, Cabaret Voltaire\, at the Sheffield Students Union Refectory on 13 May 1975. \n\n\n\nTalking about the newly announced dates\, Stephen Mallinder\, says: “What a wonderful opportunity to go round the block one more time and share that with one of the most unique and spectacular artists we know. The connective tissue between ourselves\, our history\, and the world Gazelle Twin now conjures up\, will be out there and shared with people. It seems like a special\, magical moment. ”Composer\, producer\, and performance artist Elizabeth Bernholz\, aka Gazelle Twin\, will be special guest across the tour: “Pinch me. Go on. I’m feeling excessively lucky at the prospect of touring with Cabaret Voltaire in 2026. They are electronic music pioneers\, but also the loveliest\, kindest folk in music that I could ever hope to share the stage with. \n\n\n\nIn the current climate of social turmoil and political manipulation\, the prescient work of Cabaret Voltaire continues to be necessary. The sounds\, words\, images and films of the band still resonate loudly\, continuing to challenge the status quo. The events in 2025 and 2026 will curate this essential work and to acknowledge the timeless energy and to mark the continuing significance and power of what Cabaret Voltaire achieved. The connective tissue between ourselves\, our history\, and the world Gazelle Twin now conjures up\, will be out there and shared with people. It seems like a special\, magical moment. ”Composer\, producer\, and performance artist Elizabeth Bernholz\, aka Gazelle Twin\, will be special guest across the tour: “Pinch me. Go on. I’m feeling excessively lucky at the prospect of touring with Cabaret Voltaire in 2026. They are electronic music pioneers\, but also the loveliest\, kindest folk in music that I could ever hope to share the stage with. \n\n\n\nIn the current climate of social turmoil and political manipulation\, the prescient work of Cabaret Voltaire continues to be necessary. DESCRIPTION:Baba Yaga’s Hut present: \n\n\n\nTest Dept + Sophie Sirota at Oslo\, October 8th \n\n\n\nFrom the outset\, Test Dept were lauded for their innovative use of found objects\, scrap metal and industrial detritus as instruments. The group’s unique blend of aggressive percussion\, noise\, distorted samples and experimental soundscapes also reflected their commitment to challenging the status quo\, most famously in 1984 when they ventured into the industrial communities of Britain to perform live with the South Wales Striking Miner’s Choir\, raising money and awareness for that cause.
 \n\n\n\nEnvisioning themselves as part of a broader cultural movement exploring the intersection of art and social change\, their collaborative instinct led to the formation of The Ministry of Power\, an umbrella organisation for working collectively on multidisciplinary projects that integrated music\, movement\, theatre\, film and political activism. This led to large scale multi-media productions in disused industrial spaces and unusual environments. \n\n\n\n2015 saw the publication of an extensive book entitled ‘Total State Machine’ that chronicled Test Dept’s history\, philosophy and work\, while the ‘Disturbance’ album issued in 2019 incorporated expansive electronic production and was promoted with a tour. In 2023 the group was commissioned by the arts organisation A/POLITICAL to create the new large-scale work ‘Furnace’ in an old iron foundry in southern France. This is an ongoing relationship that has further works in the pipeline. \n\n\n\n2025 was a pivotal year as they linked-up with Canadian label Artoffact Records to commence an extensive back catalogue reissue campaign\, the first fruits of which was the 4CD set “Industrial Overture” covering their earliest material and included rare and unreleased recordings including 2 John Peel sessions. They also re-emerged with a new approach to live performances: an electronically-focussed set which\, with its incorporation of film and acoustic and percussive instrumentation\, loses none of the power and impact that is synonymous with Test Dept. \n\n\n\nA new album is currently being worked during 2026 with further reissues and live appearances planned.

DESCRIPTION:Aesthetic Perfection is the industrial pop project of Los Angeles-born\, Austria-based singer-songwriter-producer Daniel Graves. For over 26 years\, the project has pushed the boundaries of dark electro\, fusing industrial aggression with pop precision\, goth atmospherics\, and forward-thinking production across seven full-length albums\, numerous singles\, and a visually striking catalog of music videos. \n\n\n\nThough never beholden to mainstream trends\, Aesthetic Perfection has cultivated a fiercely loyal global audience\, selling out headlining tours throughout Europe and North America. Renowned for their relentless drive and explosive live performances\, the project has earned slots on some of the world’s largest stages\, including multiple arena tours supporting Till Lindemann (Rammstein) across Europe and North America. \n\n\n\nBeyond the stage\, Aesthetic Perfection has built an extensive network of high-profile collaborations\, working with Richard Z. Kruspe (Rammstein)\, Sean Beavan (Nine Inch Nails\, Marilyn Manson\, Guns N’ Roses)\, SINIZTER\, Jinxx (Black Veil Brides)\, Rhys Fulber (Fear Factory / Frontline Assembly)\, Celldweller\, Nikki Misery (New Year’s Day)\, and Sebastian Svalland (Pain / Katatonia / Lindemann). The band’s music has also appeared in Netflix original programming and on the Underworld: Awakening soundtrack\, further cementing its presence within alternative culture. Following the success of the 2019 self-released album Into the Black\, Graves launched one of his most ambitious undertakings to date: the “12 Singles in 12 Months” project\, writing and releasing a new track every month throughout 2021. The campaign produced the project’s biggest hit\, “S E X\,” and multiple international chart placements\, culminating in the 2022 compilation MMXXI. \n\n\n\nWhile touring North America with Till Lindemann in 2024\, Graves unveiled his most sonically aggressive release yet: The Bad Vibes EP. Revolver Magazine described it as “a Nineties-era\, retro-futuristic slam of crunch-dustrial guitar chordage\, mechanically-manned marching rhythms\, and mega-screams from bandleader Daniel Graves. \n\n\n\nIn 2025\, marking the 20th anniversary of his debut album Close to Human\, Graves released Closer to Human—a re-recorded and re-envisioned interpretation of the album that launched his career. The anniversary was celebrated with select performances across the U.S. and Europe honoring the project’s formative years\, followed by a major European arena run alongside Till Lindemann on the Meine Welt tour. Now\, in 2026\, with a new studio album in progress and a renewed partnership with Out of Line Music\, Aesthetic Perfection shows no signs of slowing down\, continuing to expand its industrial pop legacy with uncompromising intensity.
