SUMMARY:Ashbury Heights + Ghostbells + Promenade Cinema
DESCRIPTION:Ashbury Heights are a synthpop duo from Sweden consisting of the dynamic singer/producer/songwriter team of Anders Hagström and Tea F. Thimé. \n\n\n\nOriginally\, the duo consisted of Anders Hagström and Yasmine Uhlin. However\, she announced her surprise departure from the band in Hamburg at the last concert of the Out Of line festival tour 2008. \n\n\n\nAnders and Yazmine met in November 2005 and\, upon discovering that they shared the same musical vision\, decided to form a band. Their collaboration soon came to fruition with the release of a 9 track demo entitled “Angora Overdrive” after a very intensive month in the studio. \n\n\n\nThe second four track demo\, “Parliament of Rooks”\, which was finished in February 2006\, had a more refined sound compared to their first offering. They decided to send it to a few select labels because the reaction they got to the first demo was quite overwhelming. Having sent the demos on Monday\, Ashbury Heights was contacted and contracted by German Out of Line records on Wednesday\, only an hour after the label had received the CD. This probably makes Ashbury Heights one of the fastest signings in history. Several other labels expressed an interest in the band\, but there was no bidding war as Out of Line moved so quickly. \n\n\n\nAlthough having signed the famous German act “And One” at about the same time as Ashbury Heights\, which ate a lot of the labels’ resources\, Out of Line wasted no time. The legendary producer John Fryer was brought on board to produce the promotional single “Cry Havoc” in April 2006\, something quite unheard of in the world of the electronic underground. Very few bands in the synth-genre get to release promo-CDs (if any)\, and certainly no other band in modern synth-history has released a promo-CD produced by a celebrity of the likes of Fryer. \n\n\n\nJohn Fryer would eventually mix their first album “Three cheers for the newlydeads”. Released in october 2007\, the debut album was recieved with overwhelming optimism from press and audience alike proving once and for all that Ashbury Heights truly is a force to be reckoned with. \n\n\n\nIn 2008 Ashbury Heights returned with the “Morningstar in a Black Car” EP\, containing five new songs and four remixes. The EP received good reviews and helped keep up interest for the band. A video was made for the track “Spiders”\, a low budget affair which nevertheless managed to project some of the bands unique flair. \n\n\n\nAshbury Heights\, with brand-new female vocalist Kari Berg\, released their new album ‘Take Cair paramour’ on the 2nd of july 2010. In 2010\, following a long running dispute between Hagström and the record label Out Of Line the band disbanded. This dispute was settled in 2011\, whereupon Hagstöm and Out of Line renewed their collaboration. However\, it took until 2013 for Hagström to find a new singer. The new singer is Tea F. Thimé\, the first female to co-write lyrics for Ashbury Heights. The band are excited to announce their first ever UK Tour which coincides with their 20th Anniversary\, so this eagerly awaited UK tour is set to be very special indeed! \n\n\n\nOfficial Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ashbury.heightsOfficial Tumblr: http://ashburyheightsofficial.tumblr.com/Official Twitter: https://twitter.com/ashburyheights

SUMMARY:Twin Tribes + tbc
DESCRIPTION:Twin Tribes was formed in 2017 in Brownsville\, Texas\, a border town with a unique cultural blend that subtly influences their music. Luis Navarro and Joel Niño Jr. bonded over their shared love of post-punk and darkwave\, deciding to create music that paid homage to the brooding\, atmospheric sounds of the 1980s while adding their own modern twist. Despite coming from a region not typically associated with the goth or darkwave scene\, they carved out a niche and quickly gained recognition within underground circles. \n\n\n\nTheir DIY approach played a crucial role in their early success. They self-released their debut album\, Shadows (2018)\, which received praise for its haunting melodies and moody synth-driven sound. With songs like “Shadows” and “Tower of Glass”\, the album established their signature style—brooding yet energetic\, nostalgic yet fresh. Their sophomore release\, Ceremony (2019)\, expanded on this foundation\, featuring tracks like “Heart & Feather” and “Fantasmas\,” which further explored themes of love\, loss\, and mysticism.

DESCRIPTION:Manchester’s IST IST return with their fifth studio album ‘DAGGER’ – the follow-up to 2024’s ‘Light A Bigger Fire’ which charted at number 25 in the UK\, breaking them into the Top 40 for the first time. \n\n\n\nOnce again collaborating with producer Joseph Cross (Hurts\, Lana Del Rey\, Courteeners) the record finds the band returning to their electronic-infused post-punk roots after making a leap into more mainstream sensibilities last time out. \n\n\n\nOver their decade as a band so far\, IST IST have forged a formidable reputation on word of mouth excitement\, amassing a dedicated cult following in the process. SUMMARY:Slash Need + The Mall
DESCRIPTION:Moonfrog and Quarry come together to present to you The Mall and Slash Need on 18.02.26 \n\n\n\nThe Mall \n\n\n\nThe Mall is music for punks who dance. In the suburban wasteland of middle America\, malls exist as decaying artifacts of conspicuous consumption–forgotten tombs haunted by the ghosts of capitalism’s failures. Using sequencers and analog synths\, the Mall’s Mark Plant raises the dead to get glamorous amidst decay. Fusing the shimmering\, plastic qualities of 80s dance electronica with the punishing\, visceral energy of midwestern hardcore\, the Mall soundtracks the liminal space between beauty and anger\, celebration and cynicism\, resilience and destruction. Performances are as ephemeral as kisses in a movie theater in 1987–and more lethal than radiation fallout from a space probe. \n\n\n\nSlash Need \n\n\n\nA confrontational\, camp and seductive dramaturge. Toronto’s industrial performance art outfit Slash Need have earned a reputation for putting on high-energy theatrical live performances. The group craft songs that slither\, satirize\, and scream. Served up raw\, Slash Need’s distinct style of propulsive techno and metallic darkwave serves as the backdrop to an unpredictable\, ever-changing\, and communal performance piece.
