SUMMARY:Test Dept + Death Disco + Mal + Walls of Teeside
DESCRIPTION:Baba Yaga’s Hut present: \n\n\n\nTest Dept + Sophie Sirota at Oslo\, October 8th \n\n\n\nFrom the outset\, Test Dept were lauded for their innovative use of found objects\, scrap metal and industrial detritus as instruments. The group’s unique blend of aggressive percussion\, noise\, distorted samples and experimental soundscapes also reflected their commitment to challenging the status quo\, most famously in 1984 when they ventured into the industrial communities of Britain to perform live with the South Wales Striking Miner’s Choir\, raising money and awareness for that cause.
\n\n\n\nEnvisioning themselves as part of a broader cultural movement exploring the intersection of art and social change\, their collaborative instinct led to the formation of The Ministry of Power\, an umbrella organisation for working collectively on multidisciplinary projects that integrated music\, movement\, theatre\, film and political activism. This led to large scale multi-media productions in disused industrial spaces and unusual environments. \n\n\n\n2015 saw the publication of an extensive book entitled ‘Total State Machine’ that chronicled Test Dept’s history\, philosophy and work\, while the ‘Disturbance’ album issued in 2019 incorporated expansive electronic production and was promoted with a tour. In 2023 the group was commissioned by the arts organisation A/POLITICAL to create the new large-scale work ‘Furnace’ in an old iron foundry in southern France. This is an ongoing relationship that has further works in the pipeline. \n\n\n\n2025 was a pivotal year as they linked-up with Canadian label Artoffact Records to commence an extensive back catalogue reissue campaign\, the first fruits of which was the 4CD set “Industrial Overture” covering their earliest material and included rare and unreleased recordings including 2 John Peel sessions. They also re-emerged with a new approach to live performances: an electronically-focussed set which\, with its incorporation of film and acoustic and percussive instrumentation\, loses none of the power and impact that is synonymous with Test Dept. \n\n\n\nA new album is currently being worked during 2026 with further reissues and live appearances planned.

SUMMARY:Cabaret Voltaire + Gazelle Twin
DESCRIPTION:Stephen ‘Mal’ Mallinder and Chris Watson have announced details of their Final UK Tour\, starting on 10 October 2026 at Birmingham Town Hall and finishing at the Sheffield Octagon on 25 October\, with Gazelle Twin confirmed as special guest across all the dates. \n\n\n\nThese dates follow news of this year’s highly anticipated sold-out tour\, which marks 50 years since the live launch of one of Britain’s most influential electronic bands\, Cabaret Voltaire\, at the Sheffield Students Union Refectory on 13 May 1975. \n\n\n\nTalking about the newly announced dates\, Stephen Mallinder\, says: “What a wonderful opportunity to go round the block one more time and share that with one of the most unique and spectacular artists we know. The connective tissue between ourselves\, our history\, and the world Gazelle Twin now conjures up\, will be out there and shared with people. It seems like a special\, magical moment. ”Composer\, producer\, and performance artist Elizabeth Bernholz\, aka Gazelle Twin\, will be special guest across the tour: “Pinch me. Go on. I’m feeling excessively lucky at the prospect of touring with Cabaret Voltaire in 2026. They are electronic music pioneers\, but also the loveliest\, kindest folk in music that I could ever hope to share the stage with. \n\n\n\nIn the current climate of social turmoil and political manipulation\, the prescient work of Cabaret Voltaire continues to be necessary. The sounds\, words\, images and films of the band still resonate loudly\, continuing to challenge the status quo. The events in 2025 and 2026 will curate this essential work and to acknowledge the timeless energy and to mark the continuing significance and power of what Cabaret Voltaire achieved. Original members Chris Watson and Stephen Mallinder are committed to stay true to the enduring vision of Cabaret Voltaire. The performance will cover the arc of their formidable output – from early experiments\, and the first Rough Trade / Factory releases\, through the band’s Doublevision video label and into the work with renowned producers such as Adrian Sherwood and Marshall Jefferson. Stephen Mallinder explains\, “The live set is built from scratch but faithful to the original tracks. Everything has been painstakingly reconstructed with the original technology and processes to build the tracks. But as with all Cabs live shows there is an element of unpredictable\, the new. Chance meets causality.”

SUMMARY:The Witching Tale + Jan Doyle Band + Greystone Sisters
DESCRIPTION:We’re delighted to present a somewhat mysterious spooky and etherial Halloween show with The Witching Tale who are comprised of Katherine Blake known from Miranda Sex Garden and The Mediaeval Baebes and Michael J York from Current 93 and The Utopia Strong. This fantastic\,mostly electronics driven\, project merges incredible ethereal vocals with atmospheric isoundscapes. Drawing inspiration from folklore\, nature\, and the arcane\, the duo weaves a hauntingly beautiful musical path that blend ancient themes with modern textures\, creating a mesmerizing journey through mystical storytelling and bewitching melodies. \n\n\n\nhttp://linktr.ee/thewitchingtale \n\n\n\nWith support from Jan Doyle Band who\, while known for somewhat wild explosive Goth performances\, have promised to explore the more subtle elements of their work whilst still maintaining the typically glamorous presentation \n\n\n\nLinktr.ee/jandoyleband \n\n\n\nPLUS\, and this is quite a scoop we feel. we finally present the DEBUT live show of sheffield goth duo The Greystone Sisters who achived much notability with the likes of Mick Mercer with their only released works The Veil and Paranoia\, remarking on how the former offered a “queasy romance” (lyrically) and also “largely lives on vocals and bass alone”.Paranoia he said has sharp delivery an impressive sour charm. \n\n\n\nGreystonesisters.bandcamp.comTickets: £14.00 (+ Booking fee) \n\n\n\nEvent Details \n\n\n\n\nDoors: 8.00pm\n\n\n\nPerformance: 8.30pm\n\n\n\nLocation: The Samuel Worth Chapel\, Sheffield\, S11 8NT\n\n\n\nAccessibility: The Samuel Worth Chapel is fully accessible.\n\n\n\nFacilities: The Samuel Worth Chapel has a fully licensed bar selling local beers\, wine and spirits.\n\n\n\nTickets: All tickets are sold online via Ticketsource. SUMMARY:Aesthetic Perfection + TBC
DESCRIPTION:Aesthetic Perfection is the industrial pop project of Los Angeles-born\, Austria-based singer-songwriter-producer Daniel Graves. For over 26 years\, the project has pushed the boundaries of dark electro\, fusing industrial aggression with pop precision\, goth atmospherics\, and forward-thinking production across seven full-length albums\, numerous singles\, and a visually striking catalog of music videos. \n\n\n\nThough never beholden to mainstream trends\, Aesthetic Perfection has cultivated a fiercely loyal global audience\, selling out headlining tours throughout Europe and North America. Renowned for their relentless drive and explosive live performances\, the project has earned slots on some of the world’s largest stages\, including multiple arena tours supporting Till Lindemann (Rammstein) across Europe and North America. \n\n\n\nBeyond the stage\, Aesthetic Perfection has built an extensive network of high-profile collaborations\, working with Richard Z. Kruspe (Rammstein)\, Sean Beavan (Nine Inch Nails\, Marilyn Manson\, Guns N’ Roses)\, SINIZTER\, Jinxx (Black Veil Brides)\, Rhys Fulber (Fear Factory / Frontline Assembly)\, Celldweller\, Nikki Misery (New Year’s Day)\, and Sebastian Svalland (Pain / Katatonia / Lindemann). The band’s music has also appeared in Netflix original programming and on the Underworld: Awakening soundtrack\, further cementing its presence within alternative culture. Following the success of the 2019 self-released album Into the Black\, Graves launched one of his most ambitious undertakings to date: the “12 Singles in 12 Months” project\, writing and releasing a new track every month throughout 2021. The campaign produced the project’s biggest hit\, “S E X\,” and multiple international chart placements\, culminating in the 2022 compilation MMXXI. \n\n\n\nWhile touring North America with Till Lindemann in 2024\, Graves unveiled his most sonically aggressive release yet: The Bad Vibes EP. Revolver Magazine described it as “a Nineties-era\, retro-futuristic slam of crunch-dustrial guitar chordage\, mechanically-manned marching rhythms\, and mega-screams from bandleader Daniel Graves. \n\n\n\nIn 2025\, marking the 20th anniversary of his debut album Close to Human\, Graves released Closer to Human—a re-recorded and re-envisioned interpretation of the album that launched his career. The anniversary was celebrated with select performances across the U.S. and Europe honoring the project’s formative years\, followed by a major European arena run alongside Till Lindemann on the Meine Welt tour. Now\, in 2026\, with a new studio album in progress and a renewed partnership with Out of Line Music\, Aesthetic Perfection shows no signs of slowing down\, continuing to expand its industrial pop legacy with uncompromising intensity.

SUMMARY:Darkside: Mouth Ulcers
DESCRIPTION:GOTH RETURNS to its 80s Alternative Mecca: THE WAREHOUSE\, LEEDS. \n\n\n\nTainted Love presents DARKSIDE – a day/night of alternative 80s with special guests\, MOUTH ULCERS\, performing a live club set \n\n\n\nSaturday 7 November 2026 / 4pm – 9pm \n\n\n\nThe Warehouse\, Somers Street\, Leeds\, LS1 2RG \n\n\n\nEarly bird tickets available from 11am on Saturday 4th July from https://fatso.ma/f2r5t \n\n\n\nAfter two sell-out events at The Key Club in Leeds earlier this year\, Darkside storms back for another night of alternative 80s action but this time at The Warehouse\, a venue steeped in the history of clubbing. \n\n\n\nFor much of the 80s\, The Warehouse was the biggest alternative venue in Leeds\, packed week in\, week out with the city’s craziest haircuts and most outrageous makeup. Marc Almond even did his apprenticeship in the art of running a cloakroom here and\, as well as the club nights\, the venue brought all the big alternative names to the city\, including Depeche Mode\, Soft Cell\, Bauhaus\, Killing Joke\, The Smiths\, The Birthday Party\, Dead or Alive and Leeds’ very own Sisters of Mercy\, to name but a few. \n\n\n\nLet DJs Dan Lomax (The Town & Country Club\, The Cockpit\, Black Lodge) & Richard Miechje (Salvation) take you on a dark thrill ride through the best of the alternative 80s sound-scape\, transporting you back to your favourite decade for a day to remember (whether you were actually there or just wish you had been). \n\n\n\nOur special guests\, Mouth Ulcers\, are a hotly tipped London-based gothic post-punk quartet\, who will be travelling up to Leeds after supporting The Mission at The Town & Country Club in London on Friday 6 November. Come and see what everybody is talking about; they will not disappoint you! \n\n\n\nExpect to hear: \n\n\n\nThe Cure / Bauhaus / Sisters of Mercy / Joy Division / Soft Cell / The Cult / Depeche Mode / \n\n\n\nSiouxsie and the Banshees / The Damned / Killing Joke / The Cramps / The Smiths / Violent Femmes / Nick Cave / The Damned / The Mission / Fields of the Nephilim / New Model Army / Pixies / The Chameleons / Iggy Pop / NIN

SUMMARY:Brides of The Black Room + Promenade Cinema
DESCRIPTION:The Brides of the Black Room \n\n\n\nA secret society\, existing as nothing more than a whisper through history\, The Brides of the Black room began it´s unmasking in late 2020. \n\n\n\nOnce hunted as witches\, and now reclaiming the title as their birthright\, the coven seeks to bring balance to the shadows they’ve had to call their home. Serving the omnipotent entity they know as \n\n\n\n“Mother”\, the Brides took up arms against any that would see them brought back down into obscurity. \n\n\n\nIn season 1/album 1 “Blood and Fire” (2022)\, the Brides was fronted by a trinity of unexpected spearhead siblings with ancient rites and ever shifting technology as their weapons. \n\n\n\nIn season two Alazam wakes up after the blast of whatever was going on to find herself in a somewhat Nangijala state. And so the struggle continues. Who´s in command? Over what? What is the struggle? \n\n\n\nWho is the enemy? \n\n\n\nSeason 2/Album 2 called “Commander” (2025) presented the cult taking new steps further into the story revealing the characters behind the curtains that were there since the beginning of the story; Coyote\, Lynx & Ghostheart. \n\n\n\nThe Brides of the Black Room is now heading on their first tour after only exclusive concerts in their home city of Stockholm. \n\n\n\nPromenade Cinema \n\n\n\nPromenade Cinema create cinematic synthpop with dark allure and melodic intensity. Lush synths and compelling vocals build songs that stay with you long after they end. Their music draws you into a world of shadow and splendour\, where emotion and atmosphere take centre stage. \n\n\n\nFollowing the popularity of their recent singles Play With Fate and Under Review – new album AFTERLIFE cements Promenade Cinema’s reputation as one of the UK’s most distinctive electronic duos. The physical album & digital download is available via Bandcamp: https://promenadecinema.bandca… \n\n\n\nOn stage\, Promenade Cinema have built a reputation for immersive performances across Europe\, appearing at festivals including Infest (UK)\, ElectriXmas (Sweden)\, Resistanz (UK)\, Fame Festival (Poland)\, and NCN Festival (Germany). \n\n\n\nRefined\, evocative\, and unforgettable.

SUMMARY:Boy Harsher + Choir Boy
DESCRIPTION:Boy Harsher have released what some might call the gold standard of electronic body music since 2014. Their sound is a blend of electronic\, pulsating rhythms and raw emotion influenced by post-punk\, dark wave\, industrial\, and much more. Live\, the Boy Harsher experience is reckless and enveloping. Matthews and Muller met in Savannah\, GA while both studying film and their initial interest in music began with cinema. Their latest album\, The Runner (Original Soundtrack) is the soundtrack to a short horror film written\, produced\, and directed by the duo. The duo is currently at work on their debut feature film\, The Lonely Woman\, starring Chloë Sevigny\, FKA twigs\, Sturgill Simpson\, and Will Oldham.

SUMMARY:Covenant Legacy UK Tour + Black Nail Cabaret
DESCRIPTION:COVENANT 1986-2026We live in confusing times\, in the dusk of mankind. We want to tell stories and sing about how that makes us feel. In a world that has stopped making sense\, we need to learn how to see in the dark. Covenant is a triumphant embrace of the strength and resilience of the soul. It’s the dystopian\, unforgiving song of our dreams born in the shadow of the cold war. Our music is a monument of our failures and as beautiful as a collapsed star. \n\n\n\n26t of April 1986\, on the very eve of the Chernobyl disaster\, Covenant was founded after having their senses blinded by Front 242 in Malmö at the legendary venue Stadt Hamburg. \n\n\n\nThe aggressive beats and uncompromising attitude mixed with the pop flavour of their new song Don’t Crash made a deep impression and only 5 months later Clas\, Eskil and Joakim had their first show\, with own songs\, and the band have since performed in 42 countries over 6 continents and released over 120 songs. In 2026 the band would like to invite you and together reflect on the times and celebrate 40 years of “pop with an edge”! In a string of extended concerts\, spanning two and a half hours\, the band will perform songs from every album with setlists voted by the fans and you. We are honoured and grateful for every moment we shared\, thank you for the music. \n\n\n\nFounding members Joakim Montelius and Eskil Simonsson are currently working on a new album. Like a probing Nautilus\, changing with change\, moving within motion and steering straight through black waters\, we will never rest\, we will never abandon. \n\n\n\nWelcome to the void. \n\n\n\nDiscography1994 – Dreams of a Cryotank1996 – Sequencer1998 – Europa2000 – United States of Mind2000 – Synergy (Live in Europe)2002 – Northern Light2006 – Skyshaper2007 – In Transit (Live Documentary)2011 – Modern Ruin2013 – Leaving Babylon2016 – The Blinding Dark2019 – Fieldworks: Exkursion \n\n\n\nThe band is currently working on their 10th studio album.

SUMMARY:Luxury Stranger + TBC
DESCRIPTION:Luxury Stranger finally return to one of the band’s favourite venues – York’s The Fulford Arms. This show also plays part of the band’s 20th Anniversary celebrations! Very special guests are to be announced… This is a 16+ event. \n\n\n\nLuxury Stranger is an independent dark post-punk / rock influenced band with one eye on the past and the other always looking towards the future… Formed in 2006 by singer/songwriter Simon York\, “easily one of the finest vocalists in the UK” (Reflections of Darkness magazine)\, the band has toured extensively across the UK and on the mainland\, and shared the stage with legends… Since the Pandemic\, LS have been recovering from several personal traumas while also working on a new album and playing live shows when possible. Now\, the band is ready to return to its place as “one of the UK’s stand out dark alternative acts” (Sphere Magazine). \n\n\n\n“York’s voice with its raucous timbre reminded more of the one of a rock singer. But it also gave the song a bolshie appearance… proof that York’s voice could shine even brighter on atmospherically calm songs.” (live review\, Reflections of Darkness magazine) \n\n\n\n“Think of early U2 when they were still good. This is of that calibre.” (Penny Black Music magazine) \n\n\n\n“…they just do the song thing so well…” (Mick Mercer) \n\n\n\n“Though the scene has had a feast or famine existence recently\, the city[Nottingham]’s hard working Luxury Stranger has done more than most to keep the flag flying” (Vive Le Rock magazine)
