SUMMARY:Dead Space Chamber Music + Futures We Lost
DESCRIPTION:Dead Space Chamber Music (DSCM) are a gothic / experimental / doom band of voice (Ellen Southern)\, guitar (Tom Bush)\, cello (Liz Muir) and drums (Ekaterina Samarkina) from Bristol\, UK. They reinterpret historical material\, taking forms and melodies that are hundreds of years old and shape-shifting them into new and varied contemporary works. Drawing on many musical approaches including improvisation and use of ‘found sounds’\, and with vocals spanning medieval Middle English\, Latin and Welsh\, they incorporate elements of dark ambient\, post-industrial\, avant-classical\, sacred chant and dark-folk in their powerful and atmospheric music. \n\n\n\nDSCM evolved through founding the award winning independent live event series Dark Alchemy in Bristol\, playing and hosting other artists in crypts and churches since 2017. They are earning increasing acclaim for their impactful and ceremonial live shows having to date shared bills with The Danse Society\, Cold in Berlin\, Nero Kane (IT)\, Maud the Moth\, Hawthonn\, Kariti (IT/RUS)\, Khost\, Deep Cross (USA)\, Some Became Hollow Tubes (members of thisquietarmy & Godspeed You! Black Emperor)\, Kate Arnold\, Bonnacons of Doom\, Nocturnal Emissions and Rose McDowell amongst others. They have toured the UK with internationally acclaimed composer and virtuoso cellist Jo Quail\, and with hackedepicciotto (Alexander Hacke of Einstürzende Neubauten & Danielle de Picciotto of Crime and the City Solution). They have also collaborated creatively with several of these artists.  \n\n\n\nIn 2024 DSCM played their first festival set at Ritual Union Festival\, Bristol\, and began playing DJ sets for Dark Alchemy’s new experimental / industrial / dark ambient club night\, THROB. \n\n\n\nFutures We Lost is the dark post-industrial\, cinematic techno soundscape of electronic artist and producer Doug Gordon. Rising from the ashes of 2020’s grief and inspired by the artist’s ancestral roots under the crumbling mills and industrial scars of the northern English landscape; this self-titled upcoming debut album explores these post-industrial graveyards and dystopian future visions through the lens of our present day neo technological horrors. Sometimes a brutalist techno monolith to this mechanised slavery nightmare\, sometimes a dark ambient soundtrack to the distortion and living death of our dreams. They have played in Australia\, Russia\, Mexico\, USA\, Scandinavia\, Most of Europe and the UK\, They have to date released 23 albums\, the band are currently playing live and working on new material.Inkubus Sukkubus formed in the summer of 1989 when Tony McKormack\, Candia Ridley and Adam Henderson met at college studying graphic design. They shared an interest in paganism\, witchcraft and vampirism as well as making original music from an early age\, and so the type of band that was to emerge from the joining of forces was\, quite naturally\, an expression of this. Initially the band was called Incubus Succubus. The original aim of the band was (as it still is today) to be the vehicle in which the celebration of the Pagan experience could be conveyed.2024 Inkubus Sukkubus are now in their 35th year with a short tour of Mexico in January\, and a series of dates with their acoustic\, ‘Tales of Witchcraft & Wonder’ set in April and May. In 2022\, AYRIA released her sixth full-length album and Artoffact Records debut\, This is my Battle Cry signalling the beginning of a brand new era\, showcasing a slick-more mature sound while still giving a nod to AYRIA’s previous ear-candy laced works. DESCRIPTION:Esprit D’Air has just announced their new tour dates\, which will kick off on 17 February 2023 in Cardiff\, and will lead the band onto a 7-date journey across the UK\, ending with a private party in London on 25 February for their Patreon members only. \nJoining them on main support are dark goth rockers Diamond Black\, fronted by Ben Christo of The Sisters of Mercy. \nThe award-winning band re-entered the Official Charts six times this year following their successful self-promoted tour of the UK in London\, Newcastle\, Glasgow\, and Manchester. \nKai (Esprit D’Air) will be joined by session musicians Jan-Vincent Velazco (Pendragon\, Gus G) on drums\, Takeshi Tokunaga on bass\, and Yusuke Okamoto on guitar. \nEsprit D’Air’s most recent album\, Oceans was released on 18 February. The album peaked in the Official Charts at #8 in the Rock and Metal Albums Chart and #5 in Independent Albums Breakers. The album includes collaborations with members of the iconic gothic rock group The Sisters of Mercy and Japanese metalcore band Crystal Lake\, plus remixes by Heavygrinder\, and Shirobon. Mainwaring (Bass) and James Mattock (Drums & Vocals) and was formed in early 2018\, having met through previous projects and shared musical influences (The Cure\, Alkaline Trio\, Placebo\, Bright Eyes\, Interpol\, etc.). \n\n\n\nThey then started writing songs together before self-releasing their debut EP in 2019 (this sold out in tape format). \n\n\n\nSince then\, the band has completed UK tours (w/ Aaron West & The Roaring Twenties\, Holding Absence\, Tiger Army & Bleak Soul) aswell as one off shows (w/ Salem\, FVK\, Clan Of Xymox) and released several singles – most recently\, a double A-Side 7” vinyl on Stereo Brain Records during 2020. \n\n\n\nThe band spent lockdown pouring their collective hearts into the writing of their debut album. In April of this 2021\, The Nightmares headed into the studio and recorded the currently unreleased LP due in early 2023

SUMMARY:New Model Army - Port Talbot
DESCRIPTION:Formed in Bradford in 1980\, New Model Army’s beginnings were inspired by Northern Soul\, Punk Rock and the incendiary atmosphere of the times. Since then\, they have had a long\, creative and eventful journey. They have been massively influential in ‘post-punk’\, ‘folk-rock’\, ‘political-rock’\, ‘goth’\, ‘metal’ and all kinds of musical sub-cultures but they have steadfastly refused to belong to any club or style that would limit them \n\n\n\nEven without a specific ‘genre’ audience\, New Model Army still have album sales in the millions\, have attracted some of the biggest producers on the planet (Glyn Johns\, Tom Dowd\, Andy Wallace\, Bob Clearmountain\, Joe Barresi) and have built up an almost religious devotion amongst fans. There are very few bands in NMA’s position of being able to record and release what they like when they like\, while maintaining a worldwide following and all without making a single artistic or commercial compromise.
