Welcome to The Goth Calendar, an attempt to help people find which Goth gigs and club nights are happening in our busy busy times.

Hopefully this will help you find when your favourite goth band is playing next, or when your favourite goth club is next happening, providing someone has submitted it of course!

Is something missing? Then go submit it!

Actors + Auger – Glasgow

Ivory Blacks, Glasgow 56 Oswald Street, Glasgow, United Kingdom

ACTORS : The Jason Corbett-led outfit ACTORS are standing on the shoulders of titans with their brand of the style, and could almost be referred to as "post-post-punk". In a period where we narrowcast rather than broadcast so fans and new music-seekers can firmly plant themselves in a niche, Corbett takes swings at creating sounds and production techniques that one would not usually find in a starter package of cliché plugins and samples. Backed by a stoic yet playful backing band, the frontman shows an enthusiasm while performing and recording that often isn't seen or heard in his preferred genre.

Bootblacks + Soft Riot: Glasgow

The Hug and Pint, Glasgow 171 Great Western Road, Glasgow

Double Play presents:

Bootblacks
+ Soft Riot

Hug & Pint, Glasgow | Thursday 27 October 2022 | Doors 7pm

Since the group’s founding in 2010, Brooklyn-based Bootblacks have been enthralling audiences with their frenetic live shows. Their sound is described as a balance of contradictions: both pensive and buoyant, referential and modern.

Bootblacks released their first EP “Narrowed”, in the fall of 2012, after previously collaborating with Jim Sclavunos (Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds). “Veins” was released in 2016 and was described as a step in the band’s evolution from punk to post-punk. With their influences always expanding, the band […]

The Birthday Massacre + Vanilla Sugar + Witch Of The Vale

La Belle Angele, Edinburgh 11 Hastie's Cl, Edinburgh

The night is short. It weighs heavy, but the light always awaits us,” begins the darkly poetic tagline
from vocalist Chibi about ‘Diamonds’, the eighth album by The Birthday Massacre. In these current
troubling times that have forced the Canadian post-punk goth act to postpone a North American
tour that had been due to commence on its release date, we can only look forward to brighter days
ahead.

The tour will be the first opportunity for UK based fans to see new bassist Brett Carruthers perform
with the group. Carruthers is also the frontman of fellow Toronto-based act A Primitive Evolution,
who released an excellent album of industrial tinged rock entitled ‘Becoming’ on Metropolis Records
in 2018 and will remain […]
