As part of the 'DARK CARNIVAL' tour this April, The Awakening's Ashton Nyte will be making a special appearance as a guest of Slow Century Records as part of their Record Store Day status celebrations.
Strictly limited to 20 tickets, Ashton will perform some acoustic tracks, spend some time meeting and chatting to ticket holders, and a signing/selfie session.
The Awakening is a dark musical project born in Johannesburg, South Africa, in the late ’90s as the creative expression of vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, author, actor and songwriter Ashton Nyte. The Awakening’s sound has morphed and mutated over the years, incorporating elements of Gothic Rock, Darkwave, Gothic Metal, Industrial Rock, Post-punk, Electronic, New Wave, Folk Noir and other theatrical meanderings.

Manchester’s IST IST return with their fifth studio album ‘DAGGER’ - the follow-up to 2024’s ‘Light A Bigger Fire’ which charted at number 25 in the UK, breaking them into the Top 40 for the first time.
Once again collaborating with producer Joseph Cross (Hurts, Lana Del Rey, Courteeners) the record finds the band returning to their electronic-infused post-punk roots after making a leap into more mainstream sensibilities last time out.
