A night of Dark Alternative electronic adventures
The Soft Moon confronts existential dread with an unflinching mix of industrial and post-punk.
Murky electronics and riffs create an explosive blend of dark-wave and EBM used to express Vasquez's frustrations. His most recent album Exister draws inspiration from Einstürzende Neubauten, the desert of Joshua Tree and french Sci-fi thriller 'Oxygen', culminating in deeply honest lyrics carried by his accomplished industrial noise and abrasion.
Last July - Gary Numan meets Duran Duran meets *********, all fronted by the fabulous ice maiden of electropop Gothique, Alixandria Corvyn. Gothic rock and dancefloor friendly EDM shapes are very much in the mix. Some fat synth sounds and powerful rhythms pounding forth.
Meg Lee Chin – Taiwanese American singer and one woman musical revolution, Meg Lee Chin first came to prominence singing and playing with Martin Atkins’ Pigface, and has since made startling music with Crunch and created the highly respected Gearspace producers forum. Original members Mark Burgess and Reg Smithies have reformed the Chameleons and will be celebrating the 40th anniversary of the classic 1983 'Script of the Bridge' LP. 'Script of the Bridge' featured the singles 'Up The Down Escalator, 'Don't Fall', and 'A Person Isn't Safe Anywhere These Days' and is quite rightly regarded as a Post-Punk masterpiece.
Known for their atmospheric, guitar-based sound and passionate lyrics, the Chameleons are regarded as one of the most underrated Manchester bands of the 1980s.
