As genre progenitors pushing beat-driven industrial, corrosive metal, and electronic body music in the late ’80s and early ’90s, Front Line Assembly helped formulate this hybrid style before acts like nine inch nails carried it into the mainstream. Initially, FLA dealt with the dark synth atmospherics heard on their official debut, 1987’s The Initial Command. The addition of EBM dance beats followed, heard on releases such as 1989’s Gashed Senses & Crossfire and 1992’s Tactical Neural Implant. A night firmly rooted in old-school goth and post-punk, with a sprinkling of newer music in a similar vein, in a lovely cellar venue in Marchmont, with space for dancing, comfy seating and a fully stocked bar (please note, the bar does not accept cash).

Combichrist, a Norwegian / American aggrotech and industrial metal band, continues to evolve and make significant strides in the music industry. In 2024, they released their tenth studio album, CMBCRST, showcasing their dynamic range and commitment to pushing genre boundaries.
The current live band is founder and lead vocalist Andy LaPlegua, guitarist Eric13, keyboardist Elliott Berlin, drummer Dane White, and guitarist Jamie Cronander, all contributing to the band’s powerful live performances.
