Dancing and Laughing founder, Nathan Nothing, likes to have birthday parties. In the last two years there were versions of Dancing and Laughing (north London’s post-punk and synth night) in breweries, with assorted DJ’s playing the appropriate music. This year feels suitable for live acts, which has meant a brewery didn’t work out, so we’re going to be in a regular music venue, albeit with some interesting beer. The InSect + Social Youth Cult + Blinded By Passion

London’s The InSect release their first full-length album, “As It Ever Was,” in March 2026. Playing new tracks plus material from their two previous EPs, The InSect deliver theatricality, passion and otherworldly sounds in a compelling live performance that is not soon forgotten. Support from Newcastle’s Social Youth Cult, a young band rapidly rising in the post-punk scene in the North. They recently released their first album, “The Lighthouse,” drawing favourable comparisons with Bauhaus and Sex Gang Children.
