In the Black Midwinter returns and this time, even further away from being in winter and more than likely even less black! Hurrah! We’ll be filling an three days (well three evenings and two afternoons really) with some of the most interesting and exciting acts around. No ancient legacy acts, just acts of the scene now! Goth, Synthpop, Darkwave, Industrial and whatever else we happen to think is rather good.. All taking place in the fabulously intimate surroundings of victorian pub The Shakespeare, Sheffield. HAGLEY WOOD VAMPIRES PLAY Foggy ethereal 90’s goth style with a nice crunchy guitar. New single ‘Sleeping in the Shadows ‘ out now THE WATTINGERS are a 3 piece act performing against a backdrop of synchronized videos. The music is simply described as ‘Slaughterhouse Blues’; stripped down to the bare bones, inspired by old blues and prison ‘hollers’.

RAVENSPURGH GOTH FESTIVAL 3: NEW WAVES, OLD GRAVES You can’t keep a good submerged medieval town down! Goth City Promotions are delighted to announce the return of ye oldest online gothic arts festival on the Yorkshire coast – with two days of live music and spoken word (in)direct from the ancient east Yorkshire port of Ravenspurgh! The only problem is – due to coastal erosion, Ravenspurgh is currently situated at the bottom of the North Sea. So, for obvious logistical reasons, it will take place online with a live premiere on YouTube. The event is free to watch on Youtube,
