Dancing and Laughing presents: Aging and Aleing

Dancing and Laughing founder, Nathan Nothing, likes to have birthday parties. Last year’s was an approximation of a Dancing and Laughing night (north London’s recent incarnation of Manchester’s old post-punk and synth night), but it was in south London, in the Distortion brewery. Now that Nathan has defected to north London, it’s time to do something for his new locality.

Yes! That’s right! It will be at the Goodness brewery, near Wood Green.

Delicious, fresh beer! Dancing, laughing and drinking indeed! You can order Yes! IPA in the emphatic style of fictional actor Steven Toast!

This time we will probably have no Dancing and Laughing regular DJ’s! We will have, in order of distance from the venue:

Gertrud Stein (Achtung Achtung!)
Cavey Nik (Dead & Buried)
Ali* (No Alternative, Bristol)

Post-punk, synthpop, dark indie and minimal wave (plus something else on playlists before 8pm).

The Goodness brewery is in Haringey, fairly close to Wood Green tube station, slightly further from Turnpike Lane, and easily accessed by popular bus routes such as the 41 or 67. They serve tasty pizzas, so come early to get your dinner before the dancing happens!

It is a birthday party but the brewery is open to anyone with an interest in the Dancing and Laughing night, or who just wants to drink some craft beer. Invite whoever you like!
