So it’s November, you’re not ready to let Mariah Carey out of her gift wrapped box just yet, and all the Halloween events were over weeks ago, what’s a goth in Sheffield to do?..

Come celebrate our 2nd birthday out in the real world! Cryptid Queers began as a digital drag show over Lockdown in August of 2020 and had it’s first IRL show in the form of an immersive cabaret night in DINA’s basement in November of 2021. Since then it’s evolved into a club night and drag show like no other in town!

This November, legends of the goth scene DJ Kohl and DJ L8N will be providing the soundscape for our final party of the year.

We have after party tickets for entry from Midnight so if drag isn’t your thing you can still come and dance to our incredible guest DJs once the final floor show ends.

We will again be spotlighting rising monster talent alongside our main cast of some of the biggest names on the UK monster scene.

We returns to Bal Fashions on Saturday November 18th with guest DJ’s playing their own special blend of cyber, goth, industrial, and old school floor fillers in the main room til 3am with two killer floor shows of some of the best alt drag around with alternative 80s, trad goth, and post-punk in the bar.

This is a standing event with a very limited amount of seating which will be allocated to those who need it on first come first served basis. I can no longer reserve seats in advance but we will do our best to make sure anyone who needs a seat on the night has one.

This is a queer event but it’s open to anyone outside of the LQBTQIA+ community if you feel like it’s going to be your kind of vibe. All are welcome to come and party as long as you’re respectful of people being their authentic queer selves in a gender neutral venue!

Dress Code –

No actual dress code is enforced –  be fierce, be comfy, be yourselves! However you’re encouraged to wear goth, cyber, rave, kawaii, fetish, latex, leather/pleather, lace etc. No one will be refused entry on the basis of how they are dressed but in order to keep it a safe space the doorman may check any ‘plain clothes’ patrons have a ticket before allowing them into the venue.

Advanced tickets only, we do not offer tickets on the door. Tickets on sale til 1 hour before the event finishes for anyone needing last minute entry.

Our ‘with tips’ tickets have been replaced by tip add-ons from £1-£20, this gives you more control over how much you’d like to tip. This extra amount goes directly to our guest performers and DJ’s on top of their fee to help increase their earnings for the night as this is a small indie run event.

Apologies but Bal Fashions is not a wheelchair accessible venue. There is a disabled toilet at ground level in the bar. The main room is only accessible via stairs. I am working hard on plans to make this an accessible event for 2024.

All sales are final. Tickets are non-refundable, however they are transferrable but we ask patrons to be aware of potential ticket resale scams. Please send me an email to [email protected] if someone is offering to resell you a ticket and you have any doubts as to its authenticity.

This event is 18+ only. ID may be required on entry but does not need to match the name on your ticket as this is a trans friendly event and we don’t give a f*ck about government names, only that you are over 18.

Cryptid Queers is a R.O.A.R event. This means we reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone if we believe their presence will cause upset or danger to our regulars. If you have a history of violence, abuse, predatory behaviour, or any form of aggression towards anyone but especially queer people, femmes, or anyone who is vulnerable you will be refused entry on the grounds that your presence would make my regulars feel unsafe.
