Nightmare presents… Bela Lugosi’s Shed

Heads up, Nightmare kids!

Here at Nightmare HQ, we’re well known for our love of all sorts of dark music – the darker the better, darker even than a midnight stroll through the rose garden. But we’re less well known for our liking for horticulture, so we thought we’d introduce you to where we keep not only our music collection but our scythes and stakes (and even our lawnmower)…Bela Lugosi’s Shed.

Courtesy of Get Hammered House of Horror™, we’ve dug deep into our music vaults and found a great allotment of dark and spooky tunes to serenade the most eerie of late night gardening sessions. We’ll be playing the very best of goth, post-punk, 80s, deathrock and eyeliner indie – not to lay it on with a trowel, but it’ll be a smallholding smorgasbord of sound and a garden of doomy delights. From Bauhaus to Boy Harsher, Drab Majesty to The Damned, Soft Cell to Siouxsie. Can you dig it?

We’ll have bats in our belltower (well, upstairs at the Olde Salutation Inn anyway) on Saturday 30th April, from 9pm – 3am. Entry will be the usual paltry £5. There’s no fancy dress theme this time, just Dress to Distress – although we recommend you leave your wellies at home, they’re no good on the dancefloor. We’ll also have a special prize for the best dressed undead – stay tuned for further details as and when we dig them up.
