Welcome to The Goth Calendar, an attempt to help people find which Goth gigs and club nights are happening in our busy busy times.

Hopefully this will help you find when your favourite goth band is playing next, or when your favourite goth club is next happening, providing someone has submitted it of course!

Is something missing? Then go submit it!

Dark Side of the Tyne: Witch of the East + Play/Dead + Noyvi Lef

The Black Bull, Gateshead 2.Mulgrave Terrace, Gateshead

Witch of the East:

Witch of the East's music has been described as "the best ear movie valentine anyone has ever made for you, exploring light, dark, tension and release." "The Queen of grungy aural occultism" with elements of Goth, alternative, Shoegaze and Dark Wave, This promises to be a very special live performance

Play/Dead:

Play/Dead have been described as one of the most underrated bands in the UK. Trying to label them doesn't really do them justice, but if pressed to do so the closest I could probably get would be "covering a wide spectrum of industrial rock/metal with […]

Carpe Noctum: Rhombus + The Black Riders Cult + Dhampyres

Lending Room, Leeds 229 Woodhouse Lane, Leeds, United Kingdom

"Timeless and elegant", RHOMBUS surely need no introduction. They're promising a rejuvenated live set, with the return of a few old classics you won't have heard for a while. This will be their first show with us since back in November 2021.

THE BLACK RIDERS CULT are also familiar faces. The trad goth rockers' make a well-deserved step up to the "special guests" slot off the back of an ever-improving live show and back catalogue.

DHAMPYRES open proceedings with their Carpe debut. Musically toward the "rock" end of the goth spectrum (seven colours, all black), but with a polished sound, […]

The Devil and the Universe + Dead Lights +Vanilla Sugar

The Lexington, London 96-98 Pentonville Road N1 9JB, London

DEVIL & THE UNIVERSE Biography:

Two cards selected from the 78-piece tarot card-set as utilised by the most famous occultist of the 20th century Aleister Crowley, were behind the first step. ”The Devil” and “The Universe” were the cards pulled that would prophesize a name for a musical-magical-transcendental composition & transformation project: THE DEVIL & THE UNIVERSE. The three goat masked musicians set out to create an eclectic blend of styles, sounds and atmospheres. Tribal drums meet 80’s electronica, industrial beats merge with middle eastern percussions, soundtrack like atmospheres conjure up dreams of a future that never was. A dance […]

Since emerging in 2015, Sextile have been a party-provoking force on the LA underground, capable of kicking up a riot with the raw-edged squall of a synth or the sharp-elbowed jerk of a guitar. Originally formed by Brady Keehn and Melissa Scaduto after the pair relocated from New York to LA, Sextile released their debut album A Thousand Hands in 2015, with its Grand Canyon-sized echoes, haunted screams, and post-punk invocations, before pushing synths further down the front with 2017 effort Albeit Living.
Sextile’s taste for electronics matured on the throbbing EBM-meets-industrial pick-me-up of 2018’s 3 […]

New Model Army

Rock City, Nottingham 8 Talbot street, Nottingham, United Kingdom

New Model Army - "Unbroken" Album & Tour 2024

We’re happy to announce that our 16th studio album ‘Unbroken’ will be released on 26th January 2024, accompanied by a first tour of Europe (including the UK).

We started writing the album in 2021 against a backdrop of everything that is happening in a fast-changing world and in our own lives, but of course the process was interrupted by the much delayed 40th Anniversary tour and the whole Sinfonia project. We decided early on that our number one choice to mix the album would be the legendary Tchad Blake who accepted, […]
