Welcome to The Goth Calendar, an attempt to help people find which Goth gigs and club nights are happening in our busy busy times.

Hopefully this will help you find when your favourite goth band is playing next, or when your favourite goth club is next happening, providing someone has submitted it of course!

Is something missing? Then go submit it!

Dead Space Chamber Music + Futures We Lost + Slow Knife

The Peer Hat, Manchester 14-16 Faraday Street, Manchester

Dead Space Chamber Music (DSCM) are a gothic / experimental / doom band of voice (Ellen Southern), guitar (Tom Bush), cello (Liz Muir) and drums (Ekaterina Samarkina) from Bristol, UK. They reinterpret historical material, taking forms and melodies that are hundreds of years old and shape-shifting them into new and varied contemporary works. Drawing on many musical approaches including improvisation and use of 'found sounds', and with vocals spanning medieval Middle English, Latin and Welsh, they incorporate elements of dark ambient, post-industrial, avant-classical, sacred chant and dark-folk in their powerful and atmospheric music.

DSCM evolved through founding the award winning […]

Front Line Assembly + Tension Control

Corporation, Sheffield Milton Street, Sheffield

As genre progenitors pushing beat-driven industrial, corrosive metal, and electronic body music in the late ’80s and early ’90s, Front Line Assembly helped formulate this hybrid style before acts like nine inch nails carried it into the mainstream. Initially, FLA dealt with the dark synth atmospherics heard on their official debut, 1987’s The Initial Command. The addition of EBM dance beats followed, heard on releases such as 1989’s Gashed Senses & Crossfire and 1992’s Tactical Neural Implant. As the genre incorporated more metal influences, so did the band, who injected jagged guitar riffs and aggressive sampling on 1994’s Millennium. After returning focus […]

Dead Space Chamber Music + Hanging Freud + The Silver Reserve + Futures We Lost

York Cemetery 30 Cemetery Rd, York

Very excited to announce a new show - we've combined The Velvet Sheep with Gothic Moth, to bring Bristol’s beguiling and beautifully melancholic DEAD SPACE CHAMBER MUSIC to York Cemetery Chapel, on Saturday 19th April. Around them we've assembled a suitably graceful and intriguing ensemble of genre-crossing musicians - the icy, glacial splendour of HANGING FREUD, beautiful and melancholy looped guitar and vocals of THE SILVER RESERVE, and the futuristic, dystopian soundscapes of FUTURES WE LOST. This will once again be a seated and candlelit concert, and we are very much looking forward to welcoming you…..
