Victoria Inn, Derby 12 Midland Place, DerbyDead Space Chamber Music (DSCM) are a gothic / experimental / doom band of voice (Ellen Southern), guitar (Tom Bush), cello (Liz Muir) and drums (Ekaterina Samarkina) from Bristol, UK. They reinterpret historical material, taking forms and melodies that are hundreds of years old and shape-shifting them into new and varied contemporary works. Drawing on many musical approaches including improvisation and use of 'found sounds', and with vocals spanning medieval Middle English, Latin and Welsh, they incorporate elements of dark ambient, post-industrial, avant-classical, sacred chant and dark-folk in their powerful and atmospheric music.

The Asylum, Birmingham 38-42 Hampton Street, BirminghamAs genre progenitors pushing beat-driven industrial, corrosive metal, and electronic body music in the late ’80s and early ’90s, Front Line Assembly helped formulate this hybrid style before acts like nine inch nails carried it into the mainstream. Initially, FLA dealt with the dark synth atmospherics heard on their official debut, 1987’s The Initial Command. The addition of EBM dance beats followed, heard on releases such as 1989’s Gashed Senses & Crossfire and 1992’s Tactical Neural Implant.
