1919 and La Rissa present a night of classic and contemporary gothic and post-punk music in aid of the Leeds Ukrainian Community Centre’s ongoing fundraising efforts. 1919 is a post-punk band from Bradford, considered an original contributor to the goth genre. Starting life with indie chart hits such as club-favourite “Cry Wolf”, their Machine LP, and two Peel sessions in the early ‘80s, 1919 returned after a 30-year hiatus to release 2017’s critically-acclaimed Bloodline LP (Westworld) and 2019’s Futurecide (Cleopatra).
