The Velvet Sheep presents – Darkher + Grift

The Fulford Arms, York 121 Fulford Road, York, United Kingdom

A co-headline evening presenting the finest in dark, powerful, ethereal beauty. The bleak, sinister, melancholy of Jayn Maiven's DARKHER crosses boundaries and genres, captivating audiences with aural spells and other-wordly imagery. Sweden's Erik Gardefors weaves a similar magic with GRIFT, bleak, atmospheric black metal drifting seamlessly into folk and forest compositions.
To have these two acts together represents a rare and wonderful opportunity, and this promises to be an emotionally exhausting experience.

Following the success of albums including Madra, Suspiria and Fairytales of Slavery, in 2000 the band created their most accessible yet explosive record Carnival of Souls. Widely toured but never formally released, that lost album was the last recorded work of the band.

Responding to great demand for more shows, Miranda Sex Garden will […]
