Dawn of Elysium are a Bradford based 5-piece gothic progressive rock band.
Having started in 2012, the band have been working the dark alternative live circuit to critical acclaim, going from strength to strength with a string of self recorded and released material.
Whilst very much having their own sound, the band takes influence from far and wide including such luminaries as porcupine tree, tool, fields of the nephilim, sisters of mercy, paradise lost, peter gabriel and pink floyd amongst many others. Whilst the band enjoy experimenting, they are passionate about song-craft and composition.
With a new album imminent and brand new line-up established in 2023, Dawn of Elysium are sounding stronger, tighter, and sharer than ever and are looking forward to playing for you!
Paul Owens is a DJ based in Todmorden, where he puts on the Empire Down gothic and post-punk events, will be playing an all vinyl DJ set to support the band. Expect an atmospheric journey through the gothic underworld; from the shadows and sounds of the classic goth artists of the 1980s, right through to eerie offerings from today’s sinister subculture acts. Bauhaus to Bambara, The Sisters through to She Past Away, PaulO’s set will be the soundtrack to a night that will satisfy all your dark desires .
