Wayne says of the new dates: “It was always going to make sense that we finish up this world tour on home turf, back where we started all those months ago. We’ll be looking forward to it, I’m sure, and I’m particularly looking forward to the Roundhouse show myself, having never played at that venerable venue previously where so many greats have played. I’m sure it’ll be an emotional and epic night. As will all the dates. It is great to go around the world and play to different audiences from different cultures and we have enjoyed some wonderful experiences doing so over the last year, with tons more to come I’m hoping in Europe in the Spring and North America in early Autumn, but there is nothing quite like playing to our home crowd and understanding the barracking they give us. When I understand what they’re shouting at us I can reply in kind, unlike in foreign climes where I just assume everybody is shouting ‘we love you, Wayne!’ Perhaps they’re not but that’s how I prefer to understand it. All joking aside I can’t think of a better way to finish this chapter of the band’s story than playing these UK shows, and to end it at the Roundhouse somehow seems fitting.”
