Resurgence is Portsmouth’s venerable goth night, back after a few years off in a new venue, The Loft, above the King’s pub in Albert Road.  DJ Pete Scathe will be playing goth, post-punk and alternative 80s – a core of classic goth bands like Bauhaus, Cure, Siouxsie, Sisters, Danse Society, Xmal, (Southern)(Death) Cult etc along with classic post-punk/alt 80s bands like Joy Division, Bunnymen and Chameleons and a good dose of more modern post-punk like Whispering Sons, Second Still, Drab Majesty, Lebanon Hanover, She Past Away, Twin Tribes etc
