Melodic Gothic Rock from Whitby. Luciferia (vocals), Karl (guitar) and Dominique (bass) create dark & emotional, yet uplifting & danceable songs that will appeal to fans of Siouxsie & The Banshees, Fields of The Nephilim, Within Temptation and Evanescence.

Since exploding onto the UK goth scene in 2019 ::WESTENRA:: have been building a reputation for captivating live performances of their stylish and atmospheric sound. Their debut album “First Light” was released in January 2021 to rave reviews, followed by a cover version of the Cliff Richard classic “Devil Woman” in March 2022 – a taster for the new, bigger sound featured on the four track EP “BREATHE” which was released in July 2022. Their version of Iron Maiden’s “Number of The Beast” – originally meant as an exclusive live performance to celebrate their headlining the Whitby Krampus Run Ball – was released in February 2023, with proceeds going to the Whitby Krampus Run chosen charities.

May 2022 saw Whitby Abbey invite the band to perform within its grounds as part of their celebrations for the 125th anniversary of the novel Dracula – this generated substantial national and international exposure for the band, with the area that they performed in front of now known as “The ::WESTENRA:: Arches”.
2023 will be another exciting year for ::WESTENRA:: as they will be releasing new material ahead of playing the prestigious tomorrow’s ghosts festival in Whitby in October, supporting gothic rock superstars THE MISSION.

After more than 6 years, We will be holding our first ever LIVE music Club Night at Vibe Bar in Scarborough, From 8pm – 2am. It will be a night of great Gothic Music, Featuring Scarborough’s own “The Danse Society”, From Whitby “Westenra” and returning to Scarborough for the first time since their Fantastic performance at “Shadow Of The Castle” Festival in 2019, “The Glass House Museum”. The Auger headline tour will get underway on Friday the 1st of April 2022, with a show at the NE Volume Music Bar, in Stockton-on-Tees. This will be extra special for a number of reasons. Firstly its album release day, so this will be the first chance to get your hands a copy of ‘Nighthawks’ in person. Secondly its back to where it all began, as Auger actually made their live debut in Stockton, back in July 2017. Support will be from our lovely label mates NOVUS and Whitby’s rising Westenra.
